Patricia Ballantyne

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Patricia Margaret Ballantyne, loving wife of the late W. Andrew Ballantyne, announces her passing that occurred on Sunday July 15, 2018 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1925 in Toronto, ON, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Enid (Ross) Startup. Patricia was a veteran of WWII where she served with the Royal Canadian Navy. She was devoted to her faith and was proud of being acknowledged as a lifetime member of the UCW. Patricia volunteered for Meals on Wheels for many years and enjoyed knitting, sewing and cross stitch. She is survived by her sons David (Eloise) of Ontario and Thomas (Heather) of Saint John; daughter Mary (Lorne) Flower of Rothesay; grandchildren Gillian, Jennifer, Ross, Scott, Meagan, Matthew and Morgan; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her brothers Ivan and David.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). As per her wishes there will be no visitation. A Memorial Service will be held at Quispamsis United Church on Wednesday July 18, 2018 at 11 a.m. Interment will be held in Fernhill Cemetery. The family would appreciate donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Quispamsis United Church.
