Muriel Needles

With heavy hearts the family announces the passing of Muriel E. Needles, loving wife of the late Guy Needles, which occurred on Thursday March 16, 2017 at Bobby’s Hospice. Born 1926 in Cross Creek, NB she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Dora Mae (Reid) Elgee. Muriel worked in retail many years for Barnes Hopkins and Horton-Walsh. She will be greatly missed by her nephews Dale (Freida) Needle of Hampton and Deryl (Rosemarie) Fitzgerald of Saint John. Also survived by several nephews and nieces. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her brothers Perley and Jack; sisters Cora Elgee and Gertrude (Lloyd) Sellick. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Bobby’s Hospice for the exceptional care given to Muriel during her stay with them.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). By Muriel’s request there will be no visitation or funeral service. A graveside service will be held in St. Peter’s Presbyterian Cemetery, Stanley, NB in the spring. Donations in her memory may be made to Bobby’s Hospice, Alzheimer Society, St. Peter’s Presbyterian Church or the charity of one’s choice.
