It is with profound sadness the family of Mary MacDonald, loving wife of over 60 years to the late Edwin “Ed” MacDonald, announces her passing which occurred on Friday, January 10, 2020, yet they take comfort in knowing that they have both have been reunited together with their infant son David Edwin. Mary was born in Saint John in 1942 and was the daughter of the late Ronald and Rita (Comeau) Osborne.
Mary was involved with many organizations in the community throughout the years, but her greatest passion was her family and her faith. She was an avid reader, enjoyed many camping trips with her family, she loved discussing politics with anyone who would listen but especially with her granddaughter Skye. She loved learning new things and always kept up with the latest technology.
She is survived by her children Michael MacDonald of Rothesay and Beverly Ann Kelly (Tom) of Rothesay; cherished grandchildren; Jenna (Kyle), Emily (Geoff), David, Patrick and Skye, and great-granddaughter; Jordan, brothers; Jimmy and William, Sister; Joan and several cousins, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, husband, and son, she is predeceased by her sister Ester.

Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Her funeral service will be held from the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Fernhill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, in memory of Mary, please do an act of kindness or make a donation to the Salvation Army.
