Kathy and Buddy,it is through Our sweet Marjorie that You have become such an important part of our Cedar House family. Your dedication was not only to your Mom but to each and every resident that has shared in Marjories journey,
You have given them something as important as food and shelter; for the past 2 years, every single day, you have given then your precious time. Your smiles, your hugs, your attention and many helping moments. Our deserving residents have come to look forward to playing ball with Buddy after supper. Although most aren't able to remember the simplest of details from yesterday, you have reach them somewhere deep inside; they DO remember that " something good" happens after supper. They laugh and play, enjoy companionship and a sense of belonging thanks to the time you have given every night. I hope you realize how comfortable Marjorie was in our house. I believe your presence every day made her time with us feel secure and safe.
My favorite memories of your Mom will be every morning at 630am she would great me at the door in her cute little pink Jammie and her impish smile. She would sit with us at report like it was nobodies business. Her colorful comments would always make us laugh. No matter how cross she could be with us she would easily trade her mood for a back scratch. Your mom played. Leading role amongst a house full of unique personalities on our house. She loved to snuggle and was spoiled by most. Her presence will be sadly misses but will always be remembered for her own merits and for the example that you have set for dedication to your mother as well as the disease itself. I hope you both know how significant of a gift you have been. I think your Mom would be so proud of you. You have do e it all. XO
