Marion Evelyn Gotell

With sadness the family of Marion Evelyn (Butland) Gotell, loving wife of the late Cecil Gotell, announces her passing which occurred at Bobby’s Hospice on Wednesday, June 20th, 2018. Born 1926 in Saint John she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Eileen (Stanton) Butland. Marion and Cecil enjoyed many winters in Florida; they loved to square dance and were members of the Bows and Bells square dancing club. She also enjoyed knitting and crocheting.

Marion is survived by her sons Dana (Barbara) of Saint John and Kevin of Winnipeg, Manitoba; sister Claire Peddle of Saint John; grandchildren Michelle (Will), Sarah (Mark), Jeffrey (Violet) and Cory (Lynn); 5 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her son Stephen Barry Gotell and brother Arthur Butland.

Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) Friday June 22, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday June 23, 2018 at 10am. Interment in Hampton Rural Cemetery will be held at a later date. Donations in her memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
