Marie S. (Arsenault) Landry

With heavy hearts, the family of Marie Landry announces her passing, which occurred at the Loch Lomond Villa on Thursday, January 3rd, 2019 at the age of 103. Marie was born in Tignish, PEI on September 9th, 1915; a daughter of the late Paul and Elizabeth (Bernard) Arsenault, and the loving wife of the late Peter Landry. Marie is survived  by her daughter Eileen (Gilbert) Castella of Brampton, ON, sisters Ann (Charles) Whittaker, Rita (Maurice) Bellamy, Audrey (Hoyt) Jones, and Marjorie (Harold) O’Keeffe, grandchildren Maureen Castella, Danielle Emon, and James Castella, as well as great-grandchildren Jennifer Emon, Erik Frank, Kurtis Frank, Brent Emon, and Amelie Castella,  great-great-grandchildren Mia Emon, Jackson Frank and Benjamin Frank.  Along with her husband and parents, Marie was predeceased by her son Kenneth “Spanky”, sisters Theresa McKnight, Rita Arsenault, Doris LeRoy, Edna Desilva, as well as brothers Paul and Frank.

We would like to express our gratitude to the staff of the Loch Lomond Villa for their care, and special thanks to Chrissy O’Keeffe and sisters for their assistance during this difficult time. Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) with visitation on Tuesday from 12-1 pm, with the funeral service following at 1pm from the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will take place at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances to the Extra Mural Program would be appreciated by the family.
