Marie Anita Leonard

Marie Anita Leonard, wife of Arthur J. Leonard for 62 years, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on June 8th at Rocmaura.  Born October 4, 1934 in Lauvergot, NB to Mr. Didace and Marguerite (St-Coeur) Robichaud.  Survived by her husband Arthur, four daughters: Diane Trecartin (Mark) of Saint John, NB, Gina Healy (Mark) of Halifax, NS, Luanne Leonard (Glenn Scott) of Summerville, NB, Rose Leonard (Alana Brownlee) of Rockport, NB; three sons: John (Beth) of Lorneville, NB, William (Andrea) of Edmonton, AB and Charles of Woodman's Point, NB; thirteen grandchildren, two great grandchildren; one sister Therese Leonard (Louis) and one brother Lawrence Robichaud both of Saint John, NB; several nieces and nephews as well as many friends and acquaintances. Anita was predeceased by her parents, her sister Georgina Allen (Charles) of Fredericton, NB, her brother Lionel (Joye) Robichaud of Saint John, NB and her infant brother Wilbert.

Anita worked as a waitress at the Riviera Restaurant for 35 years, which she loved.  She was a wonderful wife and mother, a gifted painter and gardener. Family was everything to her and she will be sadly missed by her loving family and friends. A special thank you to her "Angels of Rocmaura" who cared for her with dignity and love. The family would also like to thank the girls from Bayshore and Extramural.

There will be no visitation or funeral as per her wishes. Donations in her memory may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
