Margaret Ada. (Peggy) (Roxton) Bradshaw

Bradshaw (Roxton), Margaret Ada (Peggy), wife of the late Robert (Bob) Bradshaw, passed away on January 3, 2018 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Regina, Saskatchewan in 1923 to the late Maggie and Harry Roxton. Joined the services and was in the Royal Canadian Airforce where she met her husband Bob and subsequently settled in Saint John.

Peggy worked for Calps Ltd for many years. She loved to bowl with the Tuesday morning ladies at the Bowlarama. She belonged to the Simonds Seniors and also to the Grand Bay Seniors Club. She was a member of Legion Branch 2 and past member of Ladies Branch 53 and Branch 53. She was a member of Silver Falls United Church. Peggy enjoyed playing cards with her friends and also loved meeting her friends at Tim Horton’s McAllister Place. She was involved with the Boys and Girls Grandparents group.

Peggy is survived by her two daughters, Joan (Jim) Shillington of Saint John and Judi (Duane) McLellan of Sackville, NB; five grandchildren, Jay (Cindy) Shillington, Janelle (Tarek Remeh) Shillington, Johanna (Ryan) Shonaman, Nicolas (Amanda) McLellan and Travis (Lauren) McLellan. She is also survived by 7 great grandchildren; Devin, Courtney, Morgan, Elsa, Michael, Camden and Lydia.

She is also survived by her brother Arnold of Winnipeg, MB, as well as nieces Cheryl (David) Price, Deb (Rick) Creamer , Lorene (John) Bjorson and nephew Dale Roxton.

In addition to her husband and parents, Peggy was predeceased by brother-in-law, Glendon Bradshaw and sisters-in-law, Thelma Bradshaw, Pat Roxton and Rose Bradshaw.

Peggy will be resting at the Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) on Friday, January 5, 2018 between the hours of 2-4 and 6-8 PM. Memorial Service will take place on Saturday, January 6 at 11 AM from Silver Falls United Church, 840 Loch Lomond Road. Interment will take place at a later date.  

If desired, remembrances may be placed towards Silver Falls United Church, Loch Lomond Villa Foundation or a charity of your choice.
