Marcus Patrick Finch

It is with immense sadness that we announce the tragic passing of Marcus Patrick Finch by accident on March 1, 2018.  Marcus was born in Saint John, NB to Douglas Finch and Amy Bourque (Donald Walker) on September 21, 1999 and was the adored grandson to Sally and Michael Bourque.

It is very hard to speak about Marcus in the past tense because he was so present in all of our lives.  He was a very nice and respectful student of Simonds High School, about to graduate this year.  He was very mechanically inclined and was aspiring to be a mechanic after high school.  Marcus was so handy and could fix anything.  He loved cars – especially muscle cars, loved BMX biking perfecting his jumps and tricks around the neighbourhood, he loved music and dancing, loved his video games, and he loved and was loved by his friends and family.  Marcus was a devoted son, grandson, brother, cousin and friend, taken far too soon.  He will be forever remembered and deeply missed by all who knew him. 

In addition to his parents and grandparents, he is survived by his great-grandmother "Little Nanny" Betty Rodgers; his only sister Madison Bourque- Murchison, brothers; Ethan Mortimer and Thane Irving, aunt and uncles; Caitlin Smith (Matthew), Daniel Bourque (Amanda), Patrick Bourque and Jeffrey Finch, cousins Rachel, Nicholas and Chantal, and his very best friends; his brother Thane Irving, Jacob Jones, Jacob Wood, Tyler Dalling, Jayden Crowe and Daeton Miller.  Marcus was predeceased by his great-grandfather "Rodger Grampy"  Russell Rodgers.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Kelly McCluskey for keeping our sweet boy comfortable and company until the ambulance arrived. 

Arrangements are entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) where visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8pm.  A funeral service will be held from the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Donations made in Marcus’ memory to PRO Kids or to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by his family.  To sign the guestbook or to send a message of condolence please visit www.fundyfuneralhome.com
