It is with sadness the family of Paul Lydon announce his passing which occurred at home on Monday November 11, 2019. Born in Saint John, on August 16th, 1949, he was the son of the late Patrick and Winifred (Kilmartin) Lydon. Paul was a firefighter and worked for many years for the city of Saint John; retiring as Lieutenant in 2000. He enjoyed a good game of golf, cards, politics and enjoyed reading. Paul is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law Paul Lydon (Betty) and Erin Lydon (Cheryl) both of Saint John; precious granddaughter Olivia Grace; sisters Nora Lydon and Mary Lydon and brother Michael Lydon; nieces, nephews and friends. Along with parents, Paul was predeceased by his beloved wife of 49 years, Linda Lydon in February of this year; sister Kathy Northrup and brother Bill Lydon.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). By request there will be no visitation. A funeral mass will be held at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, Simpsons Drive on Thursday November 14th, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. Private family interment at a later date.
