Lorraine Marie (Cormier) Boudreau

With sadness and a sense of peace for a long life well lived, we announce the quiet passing of our mom, Lorraine Marie Boudreau on October 16, 2016 at Rocmaura Nursing Home at the age of 95.  She was born in Cochane Cape, NB on March 30, 1921 to the late Gilbert and Elizabeth (Legear) Cormier and was the loving wife of 72 years to her late husband Laurie Boudreau, until his passing in 2008.

Lorraine was very devoted to her family, raising her children and making the home warm and loving and inviting.  She was a devoted church goer, attending every day, but nothing took the place of her children and husband.  Ensuring they had everything they needed and felt loved was most important to her. 

She is fondly remembered by her sons; Robert (Jackie) of Montreal, PQ and Laurie (Sylvia) of Belleville, ON, her daughters; Joanne Allen, Gloria (Richard) St. Pierre, both of Saint John and daughter-in-law Patty Boudreau of Moncton, NB, 20 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren as well as 3 great great grandchildren along with several nieces, nephews and cousins. 

Lorraine was predeceased by her husband Laurie, her son Roger Boudreau and son-in-law Rick Allen.  She was the last living member of her immediate family having been predeceased by her parents, her brothers; Mack, Norbert, Clovie, Armand and Zyphyer, and her sisters; Alba, Edna, Yvon and Emerise.   

Arrangements are entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424), where a funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 from the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel at 1pm.  Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery with a time of fellowship and light refreshments to follow in the funeral home reception center.  Donations made in Lorraine’s memory to the Alzheimer Society, Rocmaura Foundation, or to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.  Lorraine’s family would like to take this opportunity to thank the staff and caregivers at Rocmaura Nursing Home’s Garden Court for the care and compassion shown to our mom these past three years.
