Les H. Ellis

It is with sadness that the family of Les Ellis announces his passing, which occurred on Friday, October 12th, 2018, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Les was born on July 17th, 1936; a son of the late Charles and Frances (Patterson) Ellis, and the loving husband of Sandra (Drillen) Ellis. Along with his wife, Les is survived by his sons Randy (Margie), Barry (Beverley) , and Mark (Debbie), daughter Krista Murphy (Paul), brother Glendon (Barbara), half-brother Charles (Dawn), grandchildren Aaron, Ashley, Brittany, Devin, Jennifer, and Jayelle, as well as great-grandchildren Brayden, Lauren, Maelee, Quade, Kinsley, Noah, Jack, and Brianna. Les is also survived by sisters-in-law Joy Ellis, Joye Robichaud, and Judy Gogan. In addition to his parents, Les was pre-deceased by his brother Frank, sister Margaret Monteith, and grandchildren Ryan, Chelsea, and Lucas. The family would like to thank Les’s family doctor, Joe McLaughlin for his many years of care, as well as the nurses and doctors at Palliative Care,  Stephen Fair on 3C South, and special friends Joe Risk, Rick Carpenter, Bob Folkins, Reg Cosman, Doug Foster, and Ashley Wisted. In keeping with Les’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private graveside service will be held at Fernhill Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
