Leona Barrieau Obituary

With heavy hearts, the family of Leona Barrieau announces her passing, which occurred on May 7th, 2019. Born in Saint John on April 16, 1971, she was a daughter of Ronald and the late Lottie (Meunier) Barrieau. Leona worked for the YMCA, and loved her work. She enjoyed time spent with family, and travelling. She is survived by her sister Claudette McLeod (Larry), brother Kevin Barrieau, step-brother, Eugene Meunier, along with several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Along with her mother, Leona was pre-deceased by a step-brother, Ronald Meunier. Arrangements are entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424). In keeping with Leona’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service, and a private family graveside will be held at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
