Lacey Rose Rector

Surrounded by her loving family, Lacey Rose Rector, loving spouse of Troy Donovan of Saint John,NB passed away peacefully at home on Monday September 4, 2017, after a brave and courageous battle with cancer. Born July 8th of 1983 in Springhill, NS she is the precious daughter of Wanda Rector of Truro, NS.

Lacey was an adventurous, loving and kind spirit, who enjoyed walking the Saint John Reservoir “The Rez”, dancing and traveling. She was well known and loved by her coworkers and friends at Swiss Chalet.   In addition to her Mom and loving and devoted Troy; Lacey is survived and will be missed by her stepchildren Kayla, Kohl and Lily at home; sister Stephanie Rector of Truro; twin brothers Travis and Tyler Bryan of Edmonton, AB; extended Donovan family,  father-in-law and mother-in-law Art & Anna (Baxter) Donovan; brother-in-law  Brent Donovan (Lori Lynn); sister-in-law Lori-Ann Thompson (Heath); step grandmother Lorraine Roberts; nieces and nephews Jaden, Brooklyn, Landon, Adalyn, Brandon (Natasha), Cowan and Corrine and great niece Chloe; best friends Tamara and Miranda; aunts, uncles, cousins; many many friends and feline companion Scamper. Lacey was predeceased by maternal grandparents Leonard and Rose Rector, by Troy’s grandmother Myrtle Baxter and step-grandfather Doug Roberts.

Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, NB (506-646-2424) with visitations on Friday September 8, 2017 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Ann’s Catholic Church, 135 Simpson Drive, Saint John, NB on Saturday September 9, 2017 at 10:00 a.m., followed by a reception.
