With heavy hearts, the family of Kenneth Alexander Craig announces his peaceful passing, which occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Monday, September 10th. Born in Saint John on July 15th, 1941, he was a son of the late Charles A. and Kathleen (Beech) Craig, and the loving husband of Debra (Marceau) Craig. He retired from a 37 year career with Saint John Energy. Ken loved gardening, birdwatching, and his main passion was caring for the many facets of his home church. Ken also enjoyed photography, travelling, and refinishing furniture. By far, his greatest joy was time spent with his grandchildren, making the most out of every activity or event. Along with his loving wife Debra, Ken is survived by his children Troy (Candice), Andrea (Derek), Nathanael (Mandi), John (Kate), Cleo, and Melanie (Jeff); he was Grandpa Ken and “Bo” to Brittany, Alex, Lily, Mackenzie, Grace, Aiden, Liam, Jonas, Caroline, Alex, Charlie, Thomas, Jena, Austin, Xavier, Asher, and one great-grandson, Xander. Also surviving are brothers Steve and Tom, as well as many nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, Ken was pre-deceased by his son Todd, and brother Allan. Ken’s family would like to extend their immense thanks and appreciation to the nurses, doctors, and staff of 3C South, Palliative Care, and also for 30 years of care from the Oncology Department. We appreciate their generous care and compassion.
