Kathryn Elizabeth Howe-Richard

Peacefully, with family by her side, we announce the passing of Kathryn Howe-Richard on September 21st, 2018 at the Saint John Regional Hospital MICU. Born on May 30th, 1945 in Saint John, NB and a life-long Westsider, Kathryn was the daughter of John Edward and Mary Regis (Durnian) Howe. Kathryn worked for many years as a dispatcher at various taxi companies such as Al’s, ABC, and Coastal Taxi. She loved music, dancing, and spending time with family and friends. Kathryn will be missed by her husband Ronald Richard, her daughter Lesley Howe (The late Lee Pidgeon), her son Michael Richard, and grandson Jase Richard, all of Saint John; her brother David Howe (Katherine) of Kingston, ON, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Kathryn was predeceased by her sister Ruth Howe, and brother Malcolm Howe. As per her wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Donations in Kathryn’s memory can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Kidney Foundation, or to a charity of the donor’s choice. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John.
