June Dobson Obituary

It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of June Carol (Maher) Dobson which occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Friday, November 23rd, 2018, with her family by her side.  Born 1941, in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Madeline (Comeau) Maher.  In her earlier years, June worked for Canuck Pottery and Zellers.  She later worked for Brunswick Petroleum as a secretary for several years before retirement. June enjoyed playing crib and making new friends.  Family was most important to her, especially her grandchildren and great grandson, they were her pride and joy.

June is survived by her loving and devoted husband Jimmy of 59 years; sons Kevin (Pam) of Quispamsis, Kelly (Kim) of Quispamsis, Kurt (Heather) of Saint John; brother Bobby Maher of Saint John; sisters Phyllis Donkin and Gloria Baird both of Saint John; grandchildren Jordan, Torrie, Jessica, Nick, Melanie, Ryan; great grandson Landon; as well as several nieces, nephews and friends.  Besides her parents, June was predeceased by her brothers Harold and Burt and brother-in-law Jack.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation being held on Monday, November 26th from 2 to 8 p.m.  A Funeral Service will take place from Harmony United Church (formerly known as Glen View United Church, 8 Upland Road) on Tuesday, November 27th at 11 a.m. followed by an interment at Fernhill Cemetery.  Donations in memory of June may be made to The John T. McMillan Foundation or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
