Joyce Enright

The family of Joyce Enright are broken hearted to announce her passing, which occurred on Sunday November 3rd, 2019 at Rocmaura Nursing Home with her family at her side. Joyce was born in St. Andrews, NB on October 19th, 1931; she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Edna (Delaney) McCarlie. Joyce was a loving and devoted wife and mother. She met her husband Thomas Ward Enright when working for MacAvities; they were married for 65 years. Tom passed away this past September 15, 2019. Joyce graduated from Prince Arthur in St. Andrews and then attended Saint John Vocational School, where she completed the Secretarial Course. After raising her family, Joyce re-entered the work force first working for NB Tel as a directory assistant and then moving on to worked with the City of Saint John in the Finance Department and the Building Inspections Department where she retired in 1991. Joyce was very social and enjoyed time with family and friends; she had a lifelong love for St. Andrews, she also enjoyed dancing, gardening especially flowers, bowling, knitting, cards and golf. Joyce is survived by her loving children Barbara Holt (Michael), David Enright (Theresa) and Mary Jane Kelly (Stephen) all of Saint John, and Richard Enright (Lisa) of Riverview, NB; brother Vincent McCarlie of Digby, NS; sisters Ricci Hawkins of Lower Sackville, NS and Rae Ladouceur of Ottawa, ON; 10 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law Lawrence Brewer (Lori) and Lorne Enright (Florence) sister-in-law Dorothy Enright; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Along with her parents and husband Tom; Joyce was predeceased by her brothers William, George and Bobby and a sister Ann Brewer.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) Respecting Joyce’s wishes there will be no visitation. Celebration of her life will to be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday November 7, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. followed by a reception. In lieu of flowers donations in Joyce’s memory can be made to the Rocmaura Foundation, Alzheimer’s Association, and Parkinson's Foundation of Canada or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
