Peacefully at his residence in Geary, NB, John Theodore Graham, passed away in his 80th year being the last surviving member of his immediate family. He grew up in Musquash, NB and was predeceased by his parents and his brother Edward “Eddie” Graham. John was also predeceased by his wife and, as he often stated, the “love of his life,” Susanna (Cogswell) (Hughes).
From this union, John stepped into a ready-made family of Hughes’. He is survived by her sons Roy (late Albina) and Ray (Minnie) and their children and Susanna’s grandchildren Donna (Larry), Edwin (Karen), Jamie (Joyce), the late Laurier, the late Billy, Charles (Kim), Peggy and Edward (Jen), many cherished great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and even great, great, great grandchildren! As well, his sisters-in-law; Ada Lawson and Margaret Quinn along with many nieces and nephews.
In his earlier years he was employed at the Government Garage in Musquash, then began working independently upon retirement. John and everyone around him found out quickly that he was a ‘trucker’ through and through – he was either driving or working on his trucks and in later years, sharing his many trucking stories with family and friends. John’s driving skills took him, Susanna and her family members on many trips throughout Canada and the USA, visiting and making new acquaintances. This time together was treasured by John and gave him many happy days as he relived each and every adventure!
