John Goldsmith Obituary

It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Captain John Goldsmith which occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Thursday, August 1st, 2019 with his family by his side.  Born 1932, in Mutford, England, he was the son of the late Harold and Gladys Goldsmith.  John was an Army Captain with Special Intelligence of England and he was also a member of Seventh Day Adventist Church.  

John is survived by his daughter Anna Marie Higgs (Kevin) of England; step-daughters Pamela Thibault (Victor) of Little Ridge, NB, Angie Robar of Grand Bay-Westfield; step-son Gordie Robar (Heather) of St. Stephen; 8 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Besides his parents, John was predeceased by his wife Judiline and sisters Barbara and Margaret.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424).  As per John’s wishes, there will be no visitation.  A Graveside Service will take place on Wednesday, August 7th at 2 p.m. at Pomeroy Ridge Cemetery.  Donations in memory of John may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
