John Thomas Dryden

It is with great sadness the family announces the peaceful passing of John “Jack” Thomas Dryden, loving husband of the late Mary Constance “Connie” (Gallant) Dryden on Thursday February 23, 2012 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1920 in Saint John, he was the son of the late Leonard T. and Elizabeth (McIntyre) Dryden. Jack, along with his wife and family spent summers at Birch Ridge Camp in Loch Lomond where he enjoyed fishing. He was an avid golfer and a former member of Westfield Golf & Country Club. Jack will be greatly missed by his children John Dryden of Toronto, ON, Alice (Glen) Jardine of Saint John and Elizabeth (Scott) McLean of Cornwall, ON; grandchildren Siobhan, Jonathan, Sarah, Carter and Jack. Besides his parents and his wife, he was predeceased by his brother LeBaron and sister Phyllis.

Following cremation, visitation will be held at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road on Sunday February 26, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Pius X Catholic Church on Monday February 27, 2012 at 11 a.m. Interment will take place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery at a later date.
