Joe Peters

With heavy hearts the family of Joseph “Joe” William Peters, announces his unexpected passing that occurred on Friday September 6, 2019 at his residence. Born 1952 in Saint John, he was the son of the late Valmore and Ann (Beatty) Peters.

Joe was employed as a Projectionist for 35 years. He enjoyed many outdoor activities including 4-wheeling and working in the woods with his dad. Joe was a talented wood carver; enjoyed music, guitars, Harley Davidson's, Mustangs, TV Bingo and knife collecting.

He will be deeply missed by his loving wife Linda Steele; children Christopher Steele (Sara Case) and Amanda Sorckoff both of Saint John; sisters Kim (Terry) Warren, Sherry (Gary) Hatfield and Tracy Peters all of Saint John; grandchildren Sophia, Caleb and Haley; several nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister Marlene Corvec.

Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Rd on Tuesday September 10, 2019 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday September 11, 2019 at 11 a.m. Interment will be held in Cedar Hill Ext. Cemetery. For those who wish, donations in his memory may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
