Jocelyn Elaine Corscadden

It is with extreme sadness the family of Jocelyn Elaine Corscadden announces her sudden passing which occurred on Friday, August 30, 2019. Born in Channel-Port Aux Basques, Newfoundland, on June 6, 1960, she was the daughter of the late Gordon and Cleophus (Brake) Smith.

Jocelyn worked as a home-care worker for many years. She always seemed to be working except when she went for a shopping trip. She loved her family and doing for others especially for her grandchildren.

She is survived by her loving husband Lawrence “Larry”; son Tanner Corscadden, daughter Christina Urquhart (Chris); siblings Audrey English, Allan Smith (Sharon), Cyril Smith (Linda), Guy Smith (Elaine), Arlene LeRiche, Colleen Clayton (Steve), Dean Smith (Christine), Randy Smith (Sheila), Rodney Smith; in-laws Danny Corscadden, Kenny Corscadden (Brenda) and Darlene Lawton (Tim); her grandchildren Brandon, Tanch and Tori; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her siblings Donalda Osmond, Diane Smith, Sheila Aucoin and Wallace Smith; her mother-in-law Evelyn Corscadden and sister-in-law Linda Corscadden.

At her request, following cremation, a private family service will be held at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) with interment at the Maces Bay Community Cemetery. Remembrances in memory of Jocelyn may be made to the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
