Joan Marie Wall

It is with great sadness the family announce the peaceful passing of Joan Marie Wall of Saint John, which occurred on Wednesday, May 17th 2017 at the Church of St. John St Stephen Nursing Home. Born in Saint John on January 3rd, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Edith (Smith) Dunn.

Joan was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. She was a member of the Assumption Church and spent many years participating with the choir.  She had the voice of an angel and the ministry of music was very important to her.  Joan always believed in having a nice, welcoming home for everyone. She had a big heart and was always giving to others. 

She is survived by her loving children; Michael (Linda) of Hanwell, NB, Gregory of Moncton, NB and Jeff (Kelly) of Fairfield, NB, Anne Williams (Larry) of Saint John and Christine Wall (Dr. Jim Cha) of North York, Ontario.  Joan will be missed by her sisters; Margaret Doucette of Moncton, NB and Dorothy Ross of Saint John and precious grandchildren; Nina, Nathan, Korene, Christopher, Erin, James and Cassandra, great grandchildren; Landon, Greyson and Avah.

Joan is predeceased by her brothers; Roy, Harold, William, Donald and Louis.

The family would like to say thank you to the nurses and staff of Church of St. John and St. Stephen Nursing Home for their compassion and hospitality.

Joan will be resting at the Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). Visitation hours will be held on Friday, May 19th 2017 between 2-4 and 6-8 pm. Funeral Liturgy will be held on Saturday, May 20th at 2:00 PM from the Fundy Chapel. Interment to take place at St. Joseph’s Cemetery at a later date.
