Joan K. Brideau

It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Joan Kathleen (Daigle) Brideau which occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Monday, April 15th, 2019.  Born 1947, in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late Michael J. and Catherine F. (Drew) Daigle.  Joan was a devoted wife, mother, sister and grandmother.  She took great pride in raising her 3 children and she cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren.  Joan loved spending time in her yard, at her fish pond and taking walks along the beach. 

Joan is survived by her loving husband Roy of 52 years; her children Kevin Brideau (Terri) of Saint John, Kim Foster (Dana) of Barnesville, NB, Joe Brideau (Stacey) of Saint John; brother Tom Daigle (Kathleen) of Saint John; grandchildren Kevin Jr. (Liz), Jo-Ellen, Marcus, Cory, Alana, Kyle, Cameron, Colby and 1 great grandson on the way.   Besides her parents, Joan was predeceased by her sister Barb and brother Mike.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation being held on Friday, April 19th from 2 to 8 p.m.  A Funeral Liturgy will take place from the Fundy Funeral Home chapel on Saturday, April 20th at 10 a.m. followed by an interment at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.

Donations in memory of Joan may be made to the IWK Foundation, Heart & Stroke Foundation or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
