Jean Y.A. (Groves) O'Leary

Jean O’Leary, 89, of Saint John passed peacefully, in the Moncton Hospital surround by her family.

Born April 21, 1929 in Saint John, NB, she was the daughter of Frank and Ella (Fletcher) Groves of East Saint John and predeceased by her husband, Harold J O’Leary of Saint John.

Jean worked with the Red Cross in her youth and later at the General Hospital Emergency Registration. She loved being with family playing cards and watching their reaction when she won !

She is survived by her children Dawn (Judy) of Stittsville, Ontario, Mark (Wendy) of Quispamsis, Claire ( Art ) of Upper Golden Grove, Thomas ( Rita ) of Belleville, Ontario , Nancy ( Gary ) of Burton, Valerie ( Todd ) of Riverview, Colin of Saint John , as well as eleven Grandchildren and one Great Grandchild, many nieces/nephews.

A Celebration of Jean’s life will be held at the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at 1:00 PM. Interment to follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
