J.A. George O'Hearon

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of George O’Hearon, husband of Linda (Doucette) O’Hearon, which occurred on Monday, March 18, 2019 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Chatham Head, NB on March 11, 1939 he was a son of the late Raymond and Mary (Boyle) O’Hearon. He was the youngest of ten children.

George retired in 2000 from Irving Oil Limited after a thirty-three year career, and he was a faithful member of St. Ann’s Church.

In addition to his wife, Linda, who he lovingly shared 45 years, he is survived by his children; Maureen (Bruce Lang) O’Hearon-Lang, Connie O’Hearon, Michael O’Hearon and Elizabeth O’Hearon and family, Elton (Linda) Weston, grandchildren; Jennifer (Dana), Lawrence, Reilly, Kelsey, Samuel, Aaliyah, George, Julia, great-grandchildren; Makynli and Mason; sister, Susan Miller; special sister-in-law Dale Roy, special nephew, Doug (Connie) MacIntosh and several other nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sisters, Margaret Anne; Kay McLeod, Connie Pedersen and Betty Ferrar; brothers, Joseph; William; Raymond and Andre.

Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (506) 646-2424 with visiting on Thursday, March 21, 2019 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Ann’s Church on Friday, March 22, 2019 at 11:00am. Interment will take place in Ocean View Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers and for those who wish, remembrances may be made to Bobby’s Hospice or The War Amps would be appreciated by the family.
