Helen G. Keating

It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Helen Gertrude Keating which occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Thursday, February 14th, 2019.  Born 1921, in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Ella (Wilson) Keating.  Helen worked as a Ward Clerk at the DVA Hospital for several years.  She loved spending time at the beach, golfing, curling, and travelling. 

Helen is survived by her nephew Lawrence Keating (Marilyn) of Willow Grove; sister-in-law Kathleen Keating of Mississauga, ON; as well as several nieces, nephews and friends.  Besides her parents, Helen was predeceased by her brothers Fred (Marion), Lawrence (Evie), Harold and Kenneth (Grace) and her feline friend Chi.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation being held on Tuesday, February 19th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.  A Funeral Service will take place from the Fundy Funeral Home chapel on Wednesday, February 20th at 11 a.m. followed by an interment at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.  Donations in memory of Helen may be made to the SPCA-Animal Rescue or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
