Harold B. McGovern

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Harold Bernard McGovern which occurred at Turnbull Nursing Home on Monday, July 9th, 2018.  Born 1930, in Minto NB, Harold served in the Navy and was a member of the Seafarers International Union.  Harold worked as a cab driver for many years.  He was a devout Christian and enjoyed helping others through the church.  He loved going for drives with Julia and adored his dog Oaky. 

Harold is survived by his step sons Scott, Billy (Tanya), Phil (Jackie), Chris (Teena) and Jody (Tanya); step grandchildren Myles, Will, Justine, Melissa, Khrissy, Nick, Taylor and Josh.  Harold was predeceased by his wife Julia.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424).  As per Harold’s wishes there will be no visitation or funeral service.  A private interment will take place at a later date.  Donations in memory of Harold may be made to The Alzheimer’s Association or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
