Harold Joseph McDevitt

With heavy hearts, the family of Harold McDevitt announces his passing, which occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital, on February 17th, 2019. Harold was born in Saint John on April 10th, 1950; a son of the late Harold Joseph and Margaret Adeline (Walsh) McDevitt. Harold retired from Scotsburn (Braxco) after a 36 year career, and he was an avid sports fan, particularly hockey and baseball. Surviving are his siblings; Paul McDevitt (Sharon), Terry McDevitt (Lynne), Margaret “Maggie” McDevitt, Peter McDevitt (Jackie), Judy McDevitt (Tommy), his feline friend Rosie, as well as several nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, Harold was pre-deceased by a nephew, Timothy McDevitt. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424), where the family invites you to join them on Saturday, February 23rd from 12-2p.m, with a memorial service being held at 2pm from the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will take place at St. Joseph’s Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances to Rescue Meow would be greatly appreciated by the family.
