Harold Theodore Gallant

With his family at his side, Harold Theodore Gallant, loving and devoted husband of Bernice (Sheffroth) Gallant, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 29, 2017 at the Upper River Valley Hospital in Waterville, New Brunswick. Born April 6, 1934 in Saint John he was the son of the late Dismas and Bessie (Shaw) Gallant

Harold was a veteran having served overseas with the Royal Army Service Corps. His love for the Corps was never ending. Not a day would go by that he wouldn’t speak of the service and how well they looked after him. In his spare time, Harold enjoyed hunting and playing golf with his Dad and Brother. He also loved playing BINGO with his BINGO buddies and travelling.

Harold was a loving husband, father, brother and grandfather.

Along with his wife Bernice, he is survived by his sister, Doris MacKenzie (Ernie) of Saint John, brother Robert of Sussex, daughters; Barb Gallant (Steve) of Perry Sound, Ontario, Norma Lirette (Johnny) of London, Ontario, sons Harold Gallant Jr. (Angela), Ontario and Billy Gallant (Vanessa) both of Angus, Ontario, step sons, Timmy Burnside of Perry Sound , Ontario, and Dana Crisp (Theresa) of Hartland, NB many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Harold is predeceased by his grandson Derek and sister Norma MacCormack.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Fundy Funeral Home (646-2424). Visitation hours will take place on Sunday, July 2nd 2017 between the hours of 5:00-8:00 PM, with a Tribute to a Veteran Service being held at 6:00 PM. The funeral service will be held at the Fundy Chapel on Monday, July 3rd at 2:00 PM.
