Gregory Todd Garnett

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gregory Todd Garnett, loving husband of 34 years to Catherine (Smith) Garnett which occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Tuesday, June 6th, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. Greg was born June 16, 1964 and was a son of John “Jack” Garnett and the late Faye (Garfield) Garnett.

In his working career, Greg worked for Loomis Armoured Car and as an Auxiliary Officer on the Highway Patrol and more recently as a Health and Safety Officer for the Saint John Dry Dock.  He had a passion for music, writing and recording country songs that were played on Country 94.1 throughout the early and mid-1990’s.  Although Greg had setbacks with his health throughout his life, he faced everything with strength and never gave up – even when the doctors said it wasn’t possible.

Greg is survived by his father, Jack Garnett and loving wife Catherine (Smith) of Rowley, cherished children; Gregory J. Garnett (Holly) of Rothesay and Beth Ann (Gerry) Totten of Rowley, N.B. He is also survived by his brother, Blaine (Sharon) of Quispamsis and sister, Kelly Stanton (Phil) of Rothesay, NB. Greg will be especially remembered by his two very special grandchildren; Hayden and Gavin. He is also survived by Meagan and Randy Wood who were like his own children.  Canine best friend, Frank and his grand-doggers; Charlie and Maddie.

Arrangements entrusted to the Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). In keeping with Greg’s wishes there will be no visitation or funeral service.
