Gladys Marie Leeco

It is with heartbreak and sadness the family announce the death of Gladys Leeco of Saint John who passed away with her family at her side at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Monday November 12, 2018. Born on Prince Edward Island, on July 22, 1963 she was the daughter of the late Mildred (Sheehan) Mackenzie and Harvey Leeco. Gladys was a devoted mother, sister, aunt and friend. She was highly competitive and enjoyed a game of crib Rumolli and especially Bingo. Family gatherings and time with friends was most important to her. She loved her phone calls and vacations with close friends Lorna & Ed. Gladys will be terribly missed and is survived by her three daughters Shanna Mills of Fredericton, Mindi Simon and Lacy Simon both of Saint John; loving grandchildren Elisa, Nythanual, Jordan, Dominic and Sarah-Dawn; sisters Ann Marshall (Paul) of Saint John, Marilyn Leeco (Junior) of PEI and Bonnie Mazerall (Terry) of Saint John; brother Sonny Flaglor (Anna) of PEI; loving and devoted friend Donnie Hasselman; best friend Cheryl “Peaches”; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Along with her parents, Gladys was predeceased by her nephew Harvey Northrup.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) A Celebration Of Life will be held in the Bingo Hall at the Exhibition Park on Friday, November 23rd between 6-8 pm.  Donations in Gladys’s memory can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
