Everett Edward “Ed” McCoy, husband of Marguerite Rose (Belding) McCoy, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday, November 18, 2019 at the Loch Lomond Village. Born on September 13, 1940 in Toronto, ON he was the son of the late Patrick Everett and Doris (Riley) McCoy. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his son Jody McCoy, daughters-in-law Tammy McCoy and Vera McCoy, brother Jack McCoy and granddaughter Natalie McCoy.
Ed was a licensed electrician, self-employed general contractor, owner of a trucking company, several other business interest and was the owner operator of Baxters Corner Convenience, until his retirement in 2008.
In addition to his loving and devoted wife of 60 years, Marguerite, he is survived by his sons Jamie McCoy (Sonya) of Alberta, Michael McCoy (Heather) of Grand Bay-Westfield, Wade McCoy (Joan) of Cambridge, ON and David McCoy of Baxters Corner; daughter Rhonda Armstrong (Stewart) of Baxters Corner; nine grandchildren; several great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) with visitation on Thursday, November 21, 2019 from 12 -1:45 pm., with his funeral service at 2 p.m. Interment will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery. Remembrances in memory of Everett may be made to the Loch Lomond Villa Foundation or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
