Evelyn Mae Corscadden

With heavy hearts, the family of Evelyn Corscadden announces her passing, which occurred on May 28th, 2017, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Evelyn was born in Granville Centre, NS on April 22, 1930; a daughter of the late Boyd and Ethel (Young) Tanch, and the loving wife of the late Ansel Corscadden. She arrived in Saint John at age 17, attended Modern Business College and then worked for Revenue Canada; Evelyn was also an active member of North Side Assembly. Evelyn is survived by her sons Kenneth (Brenda), Lawrence (Jocelyn) and Daniel; daughters Linda Corscadden and Darlene Lawton (Timothy), brothers Robert Tanch and Reginald Weir (Joan), sisters Ruth Elliott and Katie Weir, as well as grandchildren Erica, Cameron, Christian, Tanner, Christina and Jacob, and great-grandchildren Brandon, Tanch, Tori, Emelia and Nylah. Along with her parents and husband, Evelyn was pre-deceased by her brothers Douglas and Oscar Tanch. Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) with visiting on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. The funeral service will be held from North Side Assembly, 363 Millidge Avenue on Wednesday at 1:00p.m. Interment will take place in Maces Bay Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances to the Canadian Bible Society, or a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
