Ethel Fulton

It is with appreciation for a life well lived that the family of Ethel Maude Fulton announces her passing that occurred on Tuesday September 11, 2018 at Bobby’s Hospice. Born 1918 in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Damie Ann (Barton) Watson and wife of the late Harold Fulton. In her earlier years Ethel worked for City Laundry and Woolworth’s as well as in housekeeping. She was a faithful member of Tabernacle Baptist Church and the Women’s Missionary Society. Ethel was an avid Toronto Maple Leafs fan and enjoyed her Thursday evenings with the seniors. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

She is survived by her daughters Debra Bernier and Marilyn Stevens (Wayne Marr) both of Saint John; grandchildren Richard (Erin) Bernier, Matthew Bernier and Vanessa (Jeff) Stevens; great-grandchildren Cadence, William and Elijah; sisters-in-law Hilda, Elva and Dora Watson. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her brothers Philip, Joseph, Edward, Hector and Charles; sisters Jenny Walsh, Marion Pugh and Catherine Farrey; sisters in infancy Julia, Ella May and Mabel Irene and son-in-law Joseph Bernier.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the Doctors, Nurses, Staff and Volunteers of Bobby’s Hospice, Pat Beers with Extra Mural as well as Ethel’s caregivers Marie, Brenda, Jessica and Erin.

Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road on Thursday September 13, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Friday September 14, 2018 at 10 a.m. Interment will be held in Ocean View Memorial Gardens. The family would appreciate donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, Tabernacle Baptist Church or Bobby’s Hospice.
