Emilien Savoie

It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Joseph Emilien Savoie which occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Thursday, October 11th, 2018.  Born 1940, in Neguac, NB, he was the son of the late Alcide and Demerise (St. Coeur) Savoie.  Emilien worked in construction for Gulf Operators for several years before retiring in 2000.  He enjoyed spending each day at Tim Horton’s sharing coffee with family and friends.

Emilien is survived by his loved one Yvette LaRocque of 35 years and her children Michel (Katherine), Micheline (Norman) and Danielle (Jeff) all of Saint John; brother Amand (Jean D’arc) of Neguac; sisters Alcida of Saint John and Julienne (Fernand Dancause) of Quebec; grandchildren Devin, Eric and Caylin; as well as several nieces, nephews and friends.  Besides his parents, Emilien was predeceased by his brother Louis. 

Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424).  A Memorial Service will be held from the Fundy Funeral Home chapel on Monday, October 15th at 2 p.m.  Interment will take place at a later date.  Donations in memory of Emilien may be made to The Kidney Foundation, The Joshua Group, or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
