Edna Christine Griffith

The death of Edna Christine Griffith, wife of the late William “Paul” Griffith, occurred on May 12, 2019 at the Saint John Regional Hospital.  Born at Caplin Cove, NFLD, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Julia (Young) Harris.  She cherished her family especially her son David to whom she devoted her life. 

She is survived by her sons Dan (Suzann) and David, her daughters; Joan Richardson (Harold), Cathy McLeod (Edwin), Christine (Dave); her sister Maxine Lockyer, her sister-in-law Carrie Harris, her grandchildren; Adam, Kaala (Lee), Alyssa (Amy), Drew (Eden), Caledonia, Hunter, Gareth (Emily) and Morwyn (Johnny); her great-grandchildren Brooklyn and Lennon along with several cousins, nieces and nephews. She also leaves her special friend and caregiver Holly and her friends from the Loch Lomond Villa community. 

She was predeceased by her brothers; Hedley, Walter, Maxwell and Frederick; sisters Janet Badcock and Pearl Cousins.   

Arrangement are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424).  A service will take place at the Loch Lomond Villa Chapel on Sunday, May 26, 2019 at 1:00 pm, following the service the family will receive relatives and friends for a Celebration of Edna’s Life until 4:00 pm.  Interment will take place at St. Joseph’s Cemetery at a later date.  Remembrance made to the Saint John Regional Hospital, Palliative Care Unit, or the SPCA Animal Rescue would be appreciated.
