Donald Louis Irving

It is with heavy hearts the family of Donald Louis Irving announces his passing on Thursday August 31, 2017 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1943 in Saint John, he was the son of the late Josephine (Irving) Stevens. Donald was employed with the Saint John Dry Dock for many years as a welder. He enjoyed playing pool but most of all spending time with his family.

He is survived by his spouse Constance “Connie” Sparkes; daughters Gwen (Morgan) Hope, Julie (Santa) Irving, Stacy (Ernest) Sisk and Colleen Campbell; 6 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter; siblings Bonnie Mykoo, Frances (Noel) Jones, Muriel (Keith) Roach, Kathleen Irving, David Stevens and Margaret Fofie; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his mother, he was predeceased by his brothers Robert and Wayne and brother-in-law Tony Mykoo.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). By request there will be no visitation. A Graveside Service will be held at Ocean View Memorial Gardens on Tuesday September 5, 2017 at 1 p.m. The funeral procession will depart the funeral home at 12:40 p.m. Donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society.
