It is with heavy hearts the family of Donald Eugene Mercer announces his passing on Thursday May 31, 2018 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1937 in Kings Co. Donnie worked construction with Chittick’s and Galbraith’s for many years and was later employed with School District #8 as a custodian, retiring in 2002. He loved playing cards especially crib with Muriel and Clayton Mercer.

The family would like to extend their gratitude and appreciation to Dr. Thornhill, nurses and staff of the Palliative Care Unit (SJRH) as well as Linda Campbell, Leanna and Sherry Jones for the care and compassion shown to Donnie and all of our family.
