Dianne Mary (Roy) Voutour

With heavy hearts the family of Mary Dianne (Roy) Voutour announce her peaceful passing at her home surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, October 29, 2019.  Dianne was born on March 13, 1943 in Saint John, NB to the late Amedee and Doris (Moore) Roy and was the loving wife of 57 years to husband, Ronald Voutour.    

Dianne drove school bus for over 20 years, was an instructor for CUPE, a member of the negotiating team, Past President of both CUPE Local 380 and the Council of School Board Unions.  She enjoyed playing cards, travelling, sewing and gardening in her spare time.  She was a loving mother and grandmother and had the special joy in welcoming her first great granddaughter, Ava Dianne, in June.  She was very family oriented and loved to host the large family gatherings on the holidays and special occasions.  She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. 

In addition to her husband, Ronald, she is survived by her sons, Stephen (Heather) and Joel (Emily) Voutour; daughter Denean (Ben) Robinson; 7 grandchildren, Alexander, Nicholas, Meredith, Deirdre, William, Matt and Brady; great granddaughter, Ava Dianne; siblings, Joseph (Annie), David (Sandra), Gloria Gallant, Carolyn (Steven) Keezer, Claude (Jackie) and Kevin (Angela), brothers and sisters-in-law Sandra (Donnie) Noftell, Lorraine Vey, Marjorie Loughery, Valerie Cyr and Leonard (Connie) Voutour; along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 

Along with her parents, Dianne was predeceased by her grandson, Joshua Voutour and brothers-in-law Bobby, Richard, Jimmy, Peter and Raymond.

Arrangements are under the care of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Rd., Saint John, NB (646-2424).  In keeping with Dianne’s wishes, cremation will take place and visitation will be held on Friday, November 1, 2019 from 12-1:30pm with a Celebration of Her Life to follow at 2pm from the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel.   For those who wish, memorial donations made in Dianne’s name to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick, Canadian Cancer Society or to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by her family.
