With heavy hearts, the family of Dennis “Buddy” Perry announces his passing, which occurred on Wednesday, April 4th, 2018, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. He was born in Saint John on November 29th, 1940; a son of Dennis and Annie (King) Perry, and the loving husband of Yvonne (Richard) Perry. Buddy was a proud member of Local 213 for 51 years; he was also an avid knife maker, model ship builder (all from scratch), enjoyed playing 45’s in a senior’s league, darts, boating, and was a long time seller at Rhoda’s Flea Market. Buddy was a loving husband, father, and grandfather; he will be deeply missed. Along with his wife Yvonne, Buddy is survived by his sons Michael (Kathy), Randy (Christine), and Scott (Marjorie); step-daughters Denise (Donald) Boudreau and Yvonne Marr, brother Wayne Perry, grandchildren Christopher, Tyler, Sebastian, Cory, Haylee, Candace, and great-granddaughter Gracie. In addition to his parents, Buddy was pre-deceased by his brother Donald, and sister Joan Cormier. Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) with visitation on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated from St. Joseph’s Church, 4347 Loch Lomond Road on Saturday, April 7th at 11:00 a.m. Private family interment will take place at Fernhill Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, remembrances to a charity of the donor’s choice, or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
