Della Marie (Davis) Smith

With heavy hearts, the family of Della Smith announces her passing, which occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Tuesday, December 11th, 2018. Della was born in Saint John on July 24, 1956; a daughter of Donald and the late Shirley (LeBlanc) Davis, and the loving wife of Brian Smith. Della was a die hard Beatles fan, and loved spending time with her family, and also loved a good buy at Rhoda’s Flea Market, where she was a faithful buyer every Sunday. In addition to Brian, her soulmate of 50 years, Della is survived by her sons Paul (Vanessa), Steven (Sarah), and BJ, her father, Donald Davis, brothers Ray (Joanne), Leonard (Karen), and Butchy, sister Wendy, 6 grandchildren; Tia, Rayne, Bella, Kale, Katherine, and Dante, who she loved being with, sister-in-law Rose Bourque, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Along with her mother, Della was pre-deceased by her brother Bobby Davis. Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) with visitation on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. A memorial service will be held from the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. Interment will take place at Ocean View Memorial Gardens on Monday at 1:00 p.m. For those who wish, remembrances to Lupus Canada would be appreciated.
