Dave "Moose" Duplessis

With heavy hearts, the family of Dave Duplessis announces his passing, which occurred on Saturday, July 8th, 2017, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Dave was born on August 6, 1945; a son of the late Joseph and Leona Duplessis, and the loving spouse of Geraldine Carpenter. During his working years, Dave held several jobs; he drove cab for Bill’s Taxi, and had a shoe shining stand at Brunswick Square. When his health allowed, he enjoyed going for drives, spending time at King’s Square, family barbeques, picnics, and vacations; Baie Ste. Anne, Miramichi, Halifax, and PEI were some of his favourite destinations. In addition to Geraldine, Dave is survived by his children; David (Elisabeth), Minda, Linda, Tammy, and Amanda (Craig), numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Dave was the last surviving member of his immediate family, being pre-deceased by his parents, and 8 siblings.

Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) with visiting on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. The funeral service will be held from the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, July 11th at 11:00 a.m. For those who wish, remembrances to the Saint John Regional Hospital – Dialysis Unit would be appreciated by the family.
