With deep sadness we announce the passing of our dear Corey David Branscombe on April 5, 2017. He was born in Saint John, NB on May 1st, 1987 to his loving parents Basil and Susan (Carroll) Branscombe.
Corey was a special kind of person. He was loving and giving, always giving and never taking, and lived through the difficult moments of his life such as his long standing battle with Epilepsy without ever complaining. Corey loved to give of his time and volunteered at the Food Bank and daily at the community centre. He was a very wholesome young man who liked to bowl and swim and bike both on his four wheeler and his bicycle. His family and friends will look in their freezers in the future and see the blueberries that Corey picked for them, always ensuring that no one went without. Corey was a participant in the Special Olympics treasuring his trophies from Bowling and Swimming.
Along with his parents, he is survived by his grandmothers Yvette Carroll and Thelma Branscombe as well as his brother Jordan and cherished niece Chloe. Corey will be missed by his friends at the Community Living Center and many aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends Nancy & Georgina Armstrong of St. Andrews and Pam & Terry Leavitt of Lake Utopia.
He is predeceased by his grandfather Steve Carroll and Harry Allison.
Corey will be resting at the Fundy Funeral Home where visitation hours will be held on Monday, April 10 from 4-8pm and Tuesday, April 11th, from 2-4 and 6-8pm. A celebration of Corey’s life will take place on Wednesday, April 12th 2017 from the Fundy Chapel at 11:00 AM followed by a time of refreshments and interment at Lepreau Cemetery.
