Caroline Kincade Obituary

With heavy hearts, the family of Caroline Mary (Eatmon) Kincade announce her peaceful passing at the Saint John Regional Hospital, surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, August 27, 2019.  Caroline was born on March 31, 1953 in Saint John, NB to Laura “Jean” (Durman) and the late Maurice “Butsy” Eatmon and was the loving wife of over 20 years to husband Barry Kincade.

Caroline was a very loving person, who although worked as a homemaker, she opened up her home to raise countless foster children over the years.  Those children became like her own.  She was a very fun-loving person, who loved to sing and play guitar, and she couldn’t pass by a karaoke machine without giving it her all.  She liked to bowl and crochet and barbecue and dance, and she loved camping with Barry in Musquash.  She was an extreme animal lover – birds, cats, dogs and everything in between.  She was a homebody as well and enjoyed nothing more than spending time with family and friends.  Her children and grandchildren meant everything to her.   She will be deeply missed by all those whose lives she touched, and she will never be forgotten.

In addition to her husband Barry and her mother Jean, she is survived by her children, Kurtis Kincade, Gwendolyn Kincade, Carla (Greg Kilpatrick) Kincade and Corinne Kincade; step-children, Barry Kincade, Anthony (Olivia) Vail, Cory (Emily) Vail, Barb (Mike) Rosley and Laura (Bill Ellis) Kincade; grandchildren, Machaela, Dylan, Makenzie, Leila, Yusuf, Ella and many more, and several great grandchildren.  As well, her brothers, Wayne (Rose), Maurice, Gary (Heather) and Allan; sisters, Dianne Thompson, Jocelyn (Donnie) Stevens, Beverley Langille, Valerie (Scott) Eatmon and Elaine Montyr and several nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and her special pooch, Harley.  Along with her father Butsy, she was predeceased by her brother Kevin Eatmon.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Rd., Saint John, NB (646-2424) where visitation will be held on Friday from 2-4 & 6-8pm.  A Celebration of Caroline’s Life will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2019 at 10am from the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel.  Interment will take place at a later date. For those who wish, memorial donations made in Caroline’s memory to the IWK, the Canadian Cancer Society or to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by her family.
