Brian Douglas Reynolds

With heavy hearts, the family of Brian Reynolds announces his passing, which occurred on Tuesday, October 2nd, 2018, at Bobby’s Hospice.  Born in Saint John on December 17th, 1953, Brian was the loving husband of Kathy (McNeill) Reynolds for 35 years. He was employed by the City of Saint John, before retiring in 2014 as a Supervisor with the Works Department. He was a proud Local 18 member. Brian loved all sports, especially soccer, baseball, and hockey. He was a die-hard Boston Bruins fan. Brian was also an avid golfer, being a member of the Westfield Golf and Country Club. Brian’s real passion was his family. He loved spending time with them and was very involved in their lives, treasuring every moment spent with his family. He was very generous with his time as well; volunteering at the Cathedral and the St. Vincent de Paul Society. He also devoted time to coaching various youth sports. In addition to his wife, Brian is survived by his daughter Jennifer (Joe) Stanley, and he was a devoted and loving Grampy to Isaac, Elsa, Maud, and Harriet. Also surviving is his brother Jim (Mary) Reynolds, half-sisters Terry (Jeff) Kilpatrick and Tammy (Derek) Nordstrom, step-mother Lynn Reynolds, as well as several nieces and nephews. Brian was pre-deceased by his grandmother Mary Elizabeth (who raised him), his father Vincent, sisters Lorraine and Jo-Anne, and a brother, Jerry. Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) with visitation on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, 91 Waterloo Street on Friday, October 5th at 12:10 p.m. Interment will take place at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, remembrances to Bobby’s Hospice or the Cathedral Maintenance Fund would be appreciated.
