Brett Johnston Obituary

It is with extreme sadness that the family of Brett Michael Johnston announce his unexpected passing. Born in Saint John, NB. He is the son of Sheri Ingersoll and the late Fred Johnston. In addition to his father he was predeceased by his brother Cody.

Brett will be remembered by his loving mother Sheri, his devoted life partner Kelsey Goodwin (and her family), daughter Blake, his canine companion Sprocket, sister Sarah (Brandon) , brother Jed (Ruby); nieces  Aliya, Lyric, Carly, Jazz & Rhythm, paternal grandmother Joan (Darrah) Johnston, maternal grandfather Don Ingersoll; as well as aunts, uncles, cousins & many devoted friends.

Brett had a rough exterior but anyone that knew him knows that he was a big softy, especially for his beautiful daughter Blake and his nieces Aliya & Carly who will miss their beloved Father & Uncle B. He had a kind heart and was always willing to lend a hand. He loved the outdoors; fishing hunting, going to the camp & driving down a dirt road. Brett was a skilled industrial mechanic for the  Millwright Union (Local 2262). He was a jack of all trades and could fix or rig up anything. He enjoyed challenging himself by taking things apart and putting them back together.

He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on Monday, October 28 at 12:10 pm., followed by a reception at the Cathedral Rectory. By request there will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, remembrances in memory of Brett may be made to the SPCA Animal Rescue or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
