Brenda DesRoches

It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Brenda Lillian Mary DesRoches which occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Friday, April 14th, 2017.  Born 1952, in Chatham, NB, she was the daughter of the late Adelard and Jacqueline (Doiron) Richard.  Brenda worked as a caregiver for many years.  She also worked for a book binding company in Toronto.  Brenda loved to travel and she enjoyed her weekends and her trips to Val Comeau with her sisters Linda and Sonya.  She looked forward to her monthly family night playing cards at her brother Bruce’s and her trips to Deer Island with the “Forget Me Nots”.  Brenda also cherished time spent with the Stephenson Tower tenants.

Brenda is survived by her daughters Jacqueline Collette of PEI, Maxine LaPointe (Kelly) of Calgary; brothers Daniel (Glenda) of Edmonton, AB, Bruce (Marie-Line) of Baxters Corner; sisters Cecelia Payne (Grant) of Youngs Cove, Linda McLaughlin (Jean-Claude) of Kingston, NB, Sonya Young of Rothesay, NB; sister-in-law Jane Richard; grandson Gabriel; as well as several nieces, nephews and friends.  Besides her parents, Brenda was predeceased by her brother Renaud.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation being held on Tuesday, April 18th from 12 to 2 p.m. followed by a Memorial Service at 2 p.m. in the chapel.  Interment will take place at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.  Donations in memory of Brenda may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
