Betty Fortune

The passing of Elizabeth “Betty” Mildred Fortune occurred on Thursday September 5, 2019 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1934 in Hampton, NB, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Frances (Weir) Marshall.

Betty was employed with the Saint John Regional Hospital as an Operating Room Technician for 33 years. She enjoyed playing softball, bird carving and was a long-time member of the SJ Kennel Club. 

She is survived by her brothers William Marshall of Guelph, ON and Charles (Florence) Marshall of Sussex; sister Joan (Walter) Clements of Cape Breton; cousins, nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Rd. A Graveside Service will be held at Fernhill Cemetery on Monday September 9, 2019 at 11 a.m. with the funeral procession departing the funeral home at 10:50 a.m. Donations in her memory may be made to the charity of one's choice.
